Dragon Nest Online

And yet another new MMORPG. But Dragon Nest Online is not just YET another MMORPG. Confused? Well, do not be. Dragon Nest Online is a AMMORPG or Action MMORPG. The gameplay is similar to those Action RPG that you have played, which means that you control your character, run over and slash the enemy in 3rd person view. No more boring point and click! xD

Woot~ The birth of a noob warrior. Haha!

Dragon Nest Online also do not have monster/ creep on the field. All monster/ creeps will be available in dungeons. So it actually promotes party/ group gameplay. For those that are familiar to Dragonica Online, Dragon Nest Online is basically Dragonica 3D. Similar to Dragonica Online, Dragon Nest Online lets you choose from 4 different jobs initially which will then promoted to 2 different job path - each with their own strength and weakness at level 15.

The dungeon entrance~~ Solo mode~!

The initial 4 jobs are Warrior, Archer, Sorceress, Cleric. Judging from the way the jobs are named, you should be able to tell what are their roles in a party~ :p And they are all gender locked... Grrrrrr...

So now, back to dungeons. Dungeons have in total of 5 difficulty levels. Easy, Normal, Hard, Master and Abyss. Entering a dungeon with Abyss difficulty will allow the players to have a chance of obtaining rare equipments. Take note, Abyss difficulty is not to be taken lightly~

Also similar to Dragonica Online, there is combo system and ranking system at the end of the dungeon. Players will be awarded with prize upon the completion of dungeon. Depending on how good your rank is, you will be presented with a maximum of 4 prizes to choose from. The prizes are also available in normal wooden, sliver, gold wooden and golded box. These will be randomly assigned and purely based on luck. So, yea. GOOD LUCK ^^

Of all the mentioned aspect of the game, Dragon Nest Online have a Fatigue System (FTG) in place which I think is something kinda fresh. What this system do is, it will have an amount of points e.g. 700. The points are refilled everyday and will be depleted when you enter dungeon. The harder the dungeon, the more FTG consumed. However, going with a full party will allow you to consume much lesser FTG for the same dungeon difficulty. Further promoting party play~!

PS: Currently, only the Korea, Japan and Mandarin version of the game is available. However, players interested to try out the game do not need to fear. Since all the quests available are pretty straightforward and are accompanied with arrows showing you where to go~ :) I will provide a post on how to sign up if needed.~

All Points Bulletin

All right~ I happen to saw this new game a TV show. First impression: Yay! Another Grand Theft Auto look alike game coming out. Wee. Then I heard this: "MMORPG". Second impression: O.o

I remember the first time I played Grand Theft Auto and when I was newly introduced to MMORPG, I was always thinking how nice if Grand Theft Auto is a MMORPG. Just imagine when you steal a car, it is someone else, someone real online~ xD Or the gang members you are bringing along for fights are all real players, not noob NPC that just tag behind you and when you hide behind a wall for ambush, the rest of the three dummies are just standing outside looking at you, giving your location away. =.=;;

Severals years later, when I saw All Points Bulletin on the TV, my eyes sparkle and all the thoughts I had before came flooding back. All Points Bulletin features a very detail character customization. (Yea, even more than Aion. =.=;;) Players will also be able to choose between an Enforcer or a Criminal, which is something I have always wanted. Being an Enforcer and kill all the Grand Theft Auto wanna-be~ Hehehe. xD

This is so Fast and Furious! xDD

Being a criminal will not be something new for most of the people out there. You mainly gain fame by doing nasty stuff or killing innocents. An Enforcer however will be the direct opposite. You gain fame by killing criminals and running cars over passerbys...? Heh, your rank is gonna drop. Good luck behind those wheels while chasing down those punks, officer~ ^^

You have NO idea how fun it is to drive a police truck OFFICIALLY~ ^^

Like most or all MMORPGs, players will be able to group together and complete missions. What I like about this in All Points Bulletin is, during missions you and your group members get to drive in a car with one being the driver and the rest can be the shooters. Which, I think is just so cool~~!!

Aion Online

Whenever someone mentions Aion Online, I hear all about the nice graphics, great PvP content, superb character customization, fantastic gameplay and etc.. All these kind of remarks make me wonder sometimes if things are really that great or people just exaggerate.

So without further ado, let's dive into it~ Yay~!! Err, where? What? Nevermind... =.=;; Just read on.

Bwahahar. Sorry, I just have to show you guys this noob attack~ xD

Aion Online is 3D fantasy MMORPG by NCSoft. It is P2P, which means you have got to pay to play it and it is based on a monthly subscription basis. You have two race to choose from and a total of eight different classes to play with. They are Gladiator, Templar, Ranger, Assassin, Spirit Master, Sorcerer, Cleric and last but not least, Chanter~ Till now, things have been more or less similar to what other MMORPGs have to offer. Though, Spirit Master and Chanter kinda interest me. Heh.

She look shiny mighty~ Delicious too! ;p

Damn, the pretty characters are really not helping in making me choose what I want. ~.~

Anyway, similar to all MMORPG, you get to customize your character in Aion Online too. However, what differs from most other MMORPG is... you can really customize in great detail~ From height to body size and from hair to beard even up to small details like your eye lashes~!! (Nah, just kidding. You cannot do that~ :p)

Pretty~~ Now I wish my girl friend will look like this. xD

And when you pretenders are done and satisfied with how the in-game you look like, it is time to go into the game. In my personal and humble ~ahem~ opinion, the world in Aion Online is really beautiful and full of vibrant colours, not to mention HUGE. And guess what, you do not have to walk long journey to explore in the world of Aion Online. Why? -facepalm- Because, you have wings~ So fly around. xD

Just when you think you have heard pretty much from me what Aion Online has got, there is one more thing I will like to highlight. Crafting~ Those that have got a fetish in crafting, fret not, since you can get to do that in Aion Online. From what I have heard (That's right, heard. Since I do not have the luxury to spend enough time in the game to experience it, unlike a certain someone. :p), crafting is really rewarding.

So ya, what do you think about it? There are of course more about the game that I have not managed to mention it here. Guess it is up to you guys to 'discover' yourself. :p I think that Aion Online is pretty awesome. The only thing that I do not like is perhaps I feel that it is a little too grind-ny. Grindny? Wait a minute, does this word even exist? Have Imisspelled? Argh, nevermind. You guys should be able to get what I mean, right? I mean, you guys out there are smart people, right? ^^ Hehe, right???

Aika Online: Medals and Honor Points 101

Hello there~ xD If you have been an Aika Online player, you should know that it is a MMORPG focusing more on PvP. Because of this, 5 nations were created so that players can kill other players with a darned good reason~ xD

Since players of other nations are considered your nation enemies (other than your allied nation, of course. =.=;;), you are given rewards when you kill them. Medals and honor points are given upon every kill of your opposing nations. So yeah, what the hell are all these for? Well, for medals, you can trade in for experience points upon taking the quest. Honor points? Accumulate as much honor points as you can because you will want to use them to trade for equipments and weapon. These are called Honor Sets and they do have some pretty stats.

So then, how do you get more of the above mentioned? Kill more players from the opposing nations? Damn, I am getting tired for being so repetitive~ :p There are a couple of ways to get them quickly.

1. Participate actively in Relic Raid/ Defend
2. Go BattleGround
3. Go to Arena. (Only three times a day, or so I heard...)
4. Go to any opposing nation and slaughter their citizens~!! (aka Honor Farming)

So here you go, let me know if I miss out anything. xD

Final Fantasy XIV

As a mini fanboy of Final Fantasy and an avid player of MMORPG, I could not resist not blogging about Final Fantasy XIV online. Final Fantasy XIV is a 3D fantasy (well, of course it is fantasy, what do you expect? It is FINAL FANTASY, hello??? :p) P2P MMORPG. It is currently under close beta testing and it is due to release either late 2010 or early 2011 in English, Japanese, French and German. *Rumor. So do not bring your hopes up too high~ ^^

To most, the name Final Fantasy is already worthy enough for them to spend their time on a game. However, not to me. I am not that shallow. :p In here, I will not comment on the graphics since graphics by Square was almost never an issue. Rather, I will let you guys judge them yourselves in awhile later. For now, I will like to talk about the gameplay. It seems that Square had abolished the usual leveling system and instead, it will be skill based which is called the Armoury system. I believe, this means that the longer you use a particular weapon, you gain experience and therefore become better at using that particular weapon with more skills available (so instead of your character leveling up, your skill level up). Also, your character changes appearance depending on the weapon you are wielding. And you can choose to change weapon at any point of time! This means you get to play any class you want at anytime, without the need to create new character~ Woot! xD Just the perfect solution for fickle minded people like me. :p Speaking for which, there will be many types of classes available. Mainly, they will be divided into 4 different disciplines which are Disciples of War, Magic, Land and Hand. Below, I will list down the class of each Discipline.

To be honest, I cannot wait to try out this system. Just check out the classes available. What the hell a Botanist do?? Grow plants? =.=;; And what the plants do? Heal? So much questions and so little answers. xD

Back to the game, currently, 5 races have been announced. However, it seems that the race you choose will not be affecting the choices of your class OR the gameplay experience. Besides this, not much details of the gameplay has been released. *There are still more, just that it does not really interest me. Hehe. Anyway, for more information, you can check it out at here.

Dragonica

Hello there~ Welcome back here!! xD

A 3D fantasy arcade style side scrolling platform MMORPG. Dragonica is more towards the cute side of games and will definitely appeal to many of the girls that are into gaming, be it hardcore or casual. *Wonder why didn't I know any... Where are those girls?? T.T Dragonica have an initial of 4 jobs and they are (Drumroll please. xD): Warrior, Magician, Archer and Thief. These 4 jobs will be able to branch out to 8 different path at level 20 and will be having access to new skills focusing on the job's specialty.

Anyway, Dragonica is rich with contents. With another expansion just recently launched, it is sometimes not hard to confuse new players of Dragonica on what they are going to do next. Up till date, there is the dating system, housing system (Yeah! You get to have your own house in-game, which you can furnish it with furniture and invite your friends in to SHOW OFF. How cool is that? xD), pets, PvP, tons of set armors, tons of maps for you to go to, tons of Dungeons, combo system and much much more. And with promises like mounts and marriage system lineup, the future of Dragonica certainly looks bright! ^^ Meanwhile, for those that wants to know, Dragonica has lots of quests too, daily quests, guild quests and story quests. Still, nothings beats the grinding of dungeons for leveling~ xD And with dungeons grinding, comes party. Hence, you do not need to be afraid of being lonely~~ Being friendless in the game is fine too as there are bound to be someone looking to enter the dungeon regardless of what their purpose is.

Vrrooom vroom~ Oh, why do I look so cool? xD

Cabal Online. A 3D fantasy F2P MMORPG with some of the coolest armor, flashiest skills and combo-ish (It is lame I know, couldn't thought of any word to describe. T.T) combo system EVAR! xD The game itself consists of 2 nations and 6 classes. The 6 classes are none other than the following: Warrior, Blader, Force Blader, Force Shielder, Wizard and Force Archer. *Forgot to include this information earlier. Thanks Inga for the reminder. ^^ None of the classes are gender lock and so you are free to choose either a male or female version of any of the six classes. The sexes of the six classes are the same and they can only be differentiate by the armor and weapon the character is holding. That being said, the female counterparts are really sexy~ :p

The game is currently maxed capped at level 170 and offers a good mixture of questing and grinding. However, for some reason, I do feel that the grinding part in the game is alot better when compared to other MMORPG.

War an ugly sight... To those that LOSE! Muahahaha... Losers~~ :p

This game is definitely cater to players that love PvP. There are enough maps, however, they are not that huge which guarantees LOTS of opportunity for you to run into players of the other nation. *Aww, don't be sad, PvE lovers~ The developers love you guys too. That is why there are CareBear channels JUST for you. PvP or PK is a strict no no there, so just chill, ya? xD There is also large scale battle of 100v100 nation war available. But that only comes at certain time slot and is categorized by levels. Too bad to those that likes to bully, ya?~ :p

From the above pictures, I am sure you are able to tell that there are mount systems and pet systems in the game. And these features are made readily to the players... provide you show them the money, of course~ It is a typical F2P MMORPG afterall and 'No money, no talk' just happens to be their motto~ xDD

Aika Online: War 101

Welcome to the next installment of the 101 series. ^^ Today, I will be talking about War/ raid/ nation defense in Aika. Before I go any further, do take note that only the PvP channel caters to a War/ raid/ nation defense in Aika. Having got that clear, let's now proceed back to the main topic, ya?

Often, you will hear the word "Rift" during a War/ raid/ nation defense. So what exactly is a "Rift"? See below~

Lenaria Rift - Each nation's Rift has their own glowing color to represent the respective nation.

This is the "Rift". It is the only place where players can access to the other nations in Aika. Hence, a battle will MOSTLY start or end near the Rift.

Now that we are done with the "Rift", let's go further. Most of the time, you will be somewhere or anywhere EXCEPT the "Rift". Well, most of the time, unless you are some bored dude with max or near to max level there standing telling others you are guarding the nation in fact you really are just AFK or chatting. :p So what happen is, those bored dudes will be one of the earliest to spot if there are players from other nation entering your own nation and they will alert the whole nation via channel chat. Once it is verified that your nation is under attack, you will most likely see a nation chat. A nation is red in color, seen on both channel (PvP & PvE) and appears in the middle of your screen~ Ok, not really middle. =.=;; It is kinda middle top. Anyway, see below for a clearer picture how it looks like.

Here comes the ALMIGHTY red words. xD

Ok. Upon seeing the big red words, being the ever patriotic citizen you are (yeah, right. :p), you will want to rush to defend whatever is being attacked in your nation. Before you get all hot blooded by the hungry raid of the opposing nation; calm down, take a breather and try to catch more instructions that will soon be coming. Most probably, all the citizens will be asked to gather at the pass to intercept the raiders. Which will end like the below. :)

This is where everyone will cramped together waiting for the enemy to escape. The reason is simple, it is tight and there are NPC guards there. The most favorable ground for defense. War, it is all about tactics. ;p So once you are there, you request for a party and then form a raid. A full raid = four parties, just in case you are wondering, smartypants. :p Anyway, once you get into a party, try to form up a raid party. Only the party leader can do that though and they must be within sight of each other. So take note~ xD Forming a raid party is good so that the clerics can heal everyone. So try to form party and raid as often as you can. :) - Good tip~ xD

The above is mainly talking about defense. It applies the same when you go to other nation to raid them of their Relic (For more information about relic, click here. Opps sorry, the link is not up yet, will update when it is done~ xDD ).

Arghh, stop interrupting. Let me go on. :p So, your duty is to protect the Relic carrier. Unless, if YOU happens to the be Relic carrier, of course. How do you know who is the Relic carrier? The Relic carrier will glow like the one below~

Nice glow isn't it~ Don't envy me... FINE, it is not me. =.=;;

The raid is consider over either 1. Everyone got wiped out OR 2. the Relic get placed in the temple of your/ ally temple. To steal the Relic from the desire temple, attack the three green crystal you see in the picture and the purple core will open up. Then it is Relic for the taking~ xD

*Do take note, Relic take 6 hours to unbound after placing in a temple. So the Relic cannot be stolen before that.

Aika Online: First Expansion~

Finally~!! The waiting is over. The long awaited First expansion of Aika Online will be out soon as announced here.

This basically means a few things, increased in the level cap(Lvl 51 - lvl 70, I guess.), Tier 4 skills for all classes, new armors, new map (Ashwood), new dungeon, new mobs, new quests, new weapons and new.. Hey, are you still expecting more?? Don't be greedy PLEASE. >.< But this should not be end of the list. Who does not want to have more contents anyway. :P

Battle of the Immortals

Battle of the Immortals is a 2.5D fantasy MMO that just released not too long ago. Not sure about you guys but I feel that the graphics look a little like Diablo 2 and it attracts me a little. I was thinking about whether to play this and did some search on it. Thought of sharing with you guys. xD


Here is the story behind the game:
More than 300 years after Ragnarok, the world of Motenia is still wrapped in chaos. A Goddess of Fate peered into the future, attempting to guide the mortals of Motenia to peace and safety. Champion - Last but not least, the infamous tank~! xD

Mounts are, well, mounts! xD However, I have to say that Battle of the Immortals does features some really nice mounts.


Pets
Beside mounts, Battle of the Immortals also integrate some Pokemon action. Having a pet in Battle of the Immortals REALLY does make a difference in your battle. So start practising your shout of "XXXX, I choose youuuuuuuuuu!" now. xD

Marriage
It is actually a mini game of Battle of the Immortals, I say. You have all the courting session before being able to get married. And the developers have actually make it possible to let you have a venue to host your wedding party for the more extravagant. xD Do remember to reserve the place to avoid disappointment though. ^^

Being a married couple allows you to learn new skills which you will not be able to get it otherwise. And if any of you are wondering, yes, you CAN divorce too + it comes at a price. So think twice. I wonder if there is any counseling session available. :p

And I want to kiss the bride, err, I meant YOU may kiss the bride. xD
